      Membership and Governance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Everyone accepted into Hearth & Hive begins as a general Member, with opportunities to learn, participate and support the Society\u2019s work. Voting Membership is a separate governance role for Members who are ready to take on additional responsibility. Voting Members may vote at general meetings, nominate candidates and stand for election as Directors, and are designated by the Board in accordance with Society policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to Join<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      • Complete the membership application.<\/strong> Tell us a little about yourself and confirm that you support Hearth & Hive\u2019s purposes and agree to uphold its bylaws and policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The Board reviews your application.<\/strong> Membership will not be unreasonably withheld, and you\u2019ll receive a response by email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Complete your annual membership.<\/strong> Once accepted, pay the $25 annual fee by Stripe or e-transfer. The Board may reduce or waive the fee when needed so cost is not a barrier to participation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Welcome to the Hive.<\/strong> Choose how you would like to be recognized on the Guardian Hive and begin receiving member news and opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
